- Operates on the principle of light refraction and total internal reflection
- Gauge glass features prism grooves machined on the inner surface
- When in contact with liquid, light passes through and appears dark
- When in contact with vapour or gas, light is totally reflected and appears bright silver
- Provides clear visual distinction between liquid and vapour levels
- Ensures reliable and accurate level indication
